Protected species survey
A Protected Species Survey establishes the likely presence or likely
absence of a protected species on/or adjacent to a proposed development site. A Protected
Species Survey is required to support a planning application. There are legal consequences
to deliberately or inadvertently disturbing or harming protected species.
Here at Anlief we can complete Protected Species Surveys for bats, dormice, nesting birds,
barn owls, otters, great crested newts, and water voles.
Vegetation survey
We are able to provide a range of vegetation surveys, including National
Vegetation Classification (NVC), hedgerow surveys, river corridor surveys and invasive plant
species surveys.
Vegetation surveys are seasonal and most cannot be undertaken in the winter. Survey timings
should be factored into project programmes early to prevent unnecessary and costly delays
due to seasonal constraints.
Tree survey
We provide a wide range of tree surveys and inspections which can be
tailored to suit the client's requirements and range from single trees to large scale
woodland and urban forests.
Here at Anlief we can even assist you with your woodland management plans. This may include
tailored advice on species selection, ways to maximise biodiversity, natural regeneration
and thinning regimes and replanting schemes for your needs.
Ecological Impact Assessment
An Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA), is the process through which the
potential impacts resulting from a project are identified, quantified, and assessed through
appropriate ecology surveys. This assessment can be undertaken for sites or projects of any
size or scale.
Here at Anlief we are able to provide both types of EcIA - i.e., we are able to complete
EcIA's for projects both within and outside of sensitive areas.
